The Foot/Spine Connection

All of your body parts are connected and affect one another, and when something goes wrong with any of those parts, you experience pain or other dysfunction. Traditional medical doctors attempt to treat these symptoms using prescriptions or surgery. This, in our opinion, is a very narrow view of solutions and care.

We are mindful of the whole body—specifically, the musculoskeletal system. As we meet with our patients, we observe data through 3D scans and X-rays to pinpoint the root cause of their problem in order to design appropriate care that often begins with Foot Levelers custom orthotics. Why? Because the feet are the “foundation” of the body, and Foot Levelers has an excellent reputation.

Since 99% of all people have foot pronation, often causing imbalances and stresses in the knees, which in turn puts stress on the hip, back, and even the neck, balancing and stabilising the feet are a vital component of spine and whole body health. This is the bio kinetic chain in action. When our feet are stabilised and in balance, the rest of the kinetic chain will function as it should—without pain. But when our feet are pronated and de-stabilised, the rest of the kinetic chain will be negatively impacted, typically resulting in pain and loss of function.

If we determine this is the right approach for you, a foot scan or impression will be taken to assess how imbalances in the feet lead to problems throughout your body. The inserts are then made using your foot scan or impression.
